The Mermaid Community

A quiet waterfront retreat just 10 minutes from the heart of Charlottetown, where rural PEI living meets city convenience.

Waterfront Living, Minutes from Town

Mermaid is a small, rural waterfront community located approximately 8 km northeast of downtown Charlottetown along the Hillsborough River. It offers the rare combination of genuine countryside privacy with easy access to the city's restaurants, shops, schools, and cultural institutions.

The area is characterised by larger rural lots of one acre or more, surrounded by fields, mature woodlands, and waterfront access. Mermaid Cove, a sheltered inlet along the river, is a favourite spot for kayaking, paddleboarding, and small-boat launches, and 35 Richard Douglas Drive includes deeded access to this private waterfront.
